One of the goals of Big Deal, together with our partners, is to reduce emissions by one million tons between 2015 and 2030. A million tons is a big deal – it is equivalent to planting 4,3 million trees in Finland.

We invited all S Group partner companies to join the Big Deal programme which started in 2015. Our partners have participated in the program by setting a climate target for themselves or by telling us about their ways to reduce emissions.

However, the climate impact of S Group’s own operations is only a fraction of the impacts of the entire value chain, as over 95 per cent of emissions are created during product manufacturing and use. This is why our partners play a significant role in reducing emissions throughout the value chain.
